  First and foremost, if you're coming here for lunch in the middle of the work day, understand that it's not going to be cheap.  If you want anything beyond a main, you'll be paying more than 6.
  
  The food is solid - pastas and salads nice, sandwiches better than what you'll get out of a Tesco pack or up the road at Henri's.  The desserts are excellent, as well.  Be prepared for a sugar crash after lunch, of course, but so worth it.
  
  Regarding service, think good cop, bad cop.  Usually one really nice guy working, and one grump who takes some massaging.  If you're in a bad mood, these guys typically won't make it any better, and you may want to take a pass on the place.  If you're in a good mood, this is a great spot for lunch.
  
  Coffe is crap - don't bother.  There's no genuinely good coffee in Oval area, so just get a Nespresso for the office and stop trying to find it at indy places like this.
  
  Finally, don't forget that this place is pretty pricey for a lunch spot.  Big portions, good taste, but expensive.

  Terrible coffee, even the Americano tasted like dust.
  The ham and cheese croissant was tasteless and expensive, and the cheese wasn't melted.
  I could tell by the way the keep their coffee machine the have no idea what they are doing.
  Stay away.

  Great independent deli with lots of great paninis and pasta dishes. Mimi's is reason enough to move to Oval.
